Sensational images of Edna Awuor Otieno, a 22-year-old who claimed the late marathon holder Kevin Kiptum have emerged online depicting the lady as affluent.
Through our study on reverse image check on photoshop and general observations of the images, we established the pictures were digitally fabricated using Artificial Intelligence tools on original images. We established body proportions were irregular.
One of the online users, Prince Kirui who shared the image on a popular Facebook page called The Kipsigis Renaissance Network wrote a caption with Kenyan colloquial slang ‘Huyu Ni Kama Ameoga na Akarudi soko’, loosely referring that the said lady is ready to date again just after her alleged lover died.
Ms. Otieno has already filed an application before a court in Eldoret that late Kiptum fathered her daughter and that the court should pronounce they are beneficiaries of marathoner’s extensive estate.
