Disinformation especially with the use of images and visuals is already gaining momentum in Kenya as set for political season. Image showing Mr. Hon Musalia W Mudavadi & William Samoei Ruto donned in Swahili attire was photoshopped with an image of their political opponent Raila Odinga with comments implying the duo are supporting Mr. Odinga, which in essence may not be the case. From an online reverse image search, we established original image was taken in Kwale on 05/02/2022. Error level analysis indicated the original image was fabricated using editing software to demonstrate misleading messaging.
