The image bearing face of Deputy President William Ruto purporting to be holding Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua emerged online and has widely been circulated on social media.
We carried out a quick reverse image check and established the original image is that of Nandi Governor Stephen Sang with his wife.
Advanced editing tools were employed in fabricating the image, and evidence of pixel interference were also detected, equally colour temperature and texture. Head, neck, and body ratios fail proportion parameters.
INTENT:
The image was purely created for satirical purposes and in hindsight drives a political agenda that unfortunately and subtly disinform.
